About Daniel Cooper

I studied at Nottingham University and obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Geography.

After qualifying I worked on a building site as a labourer for two years.

I then commenced training to become a chartered surveyor – via distance learning at the College of Estate Management, Reading.

In 1998 I was elected as a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

I have run my own practice since 1999.

In 2012 I was awarded a distinction in a Master’s degree, ‘Conservation of the Historic Environment’.

I managed two offices for a large independent surveying practice in the South East for nine years and was chairman of the organisation for two years.

During this time I have always undertaken building surveys, party wall duties and defect analysis.

Since 1997 I have been advising architects, engineers, commercial clients and homeowners on party wall matters. Daniel is a member of the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors and of the Pyramus and Thisbe Club.
